Canadian computer company Eurocom has launched what it claims is the most powerful laptop ever created: a 19.1-inch device that supports dual AMD Ryzen 7 processors.
The laptop, dubbed the EUROCOM Tornado F9, can support dual SLI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1090 Ti with 16GB GDDR5X VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 490 dual CrossFireX desktop graphics set-up.
It has eight memory slots for up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory and six M.2 NVMe solid-state drives.
The F9 has AM4 sockets and supports dual AMD Ryzen 7 series processors running at up to 4.0GHz turbo.
{loadposition sam08}It is claimed to be the first laptop to support four graphics cards. A dual SLI/CrossFireX set-up has been developed, along with a copper-based thermal solution, to manage the temperatures of each graphics card.
Up to four NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1090 Ti graphics cards are supported with 16GB GDDR5X VRAM per card.
It supports eight DDR4 memory modules that can be overclocked and pushed well above 5000 Mhz. A total of 128GB of memory is supported via the eight memory slots with 16GB per slot.
Two Intel Optane memory modules are supported and capable of running in RAID 0 with expansion up to 256GB.
The company, which has been in this business since 1989, says it sells to Australians among others.
"Pushing the limits of laptops has always been in the DNA of Eurocom. We have taken laptops through another evolutionary leap with the EUROCOM Tornado F9," said Eurocom president Mark Bialic.
"Never have laptops had this amount of power under the hood with support for two processors, four graphics cards, eight memory slots and six M.2 NVMe storage drives."
Bialic claimed the F9 was the perfect example of Eurocom's "multi-vendor support" philosophy with both NVIDIA and AMD co-operating to deliver the laptop.
