Lexar has launched its 256GB Professional 1000x microSD UHS-II (U3) card at A$449.95 to cater for most new mobile phones and digital devices that have support for up to 256GB microSD.
The 1000x card has read transfer speeds of up to 150MB/s and write speeds up to 90MB/s. That is more than enough for GoPro certification and 4K recording. It also comes with a USB-A 3.0 card reader.
256GB can hold 9 hours of 4K @30fps video (typical 12MP resolution and 128kbps audio), 36 hours HD video, 67,600 photos, or 58100 songs.

The Lexar Professional 1000x microSD UHS-II cards are backward compatible with UHS-I devices. All Professional line memory cards include a lifetime copy of downloadable Image Rescue software to recover most photo and select video files, even if they’ve been erased or the card has been corrupted. The cards are backed by expert technical support and come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Lexar also has a Professional 1800x UHS-II (U3) range (32/64/128GB) that will read at up to 270MB/s and write at 110MB/s.
