The lack of diversity in data and analytics roles is still a major challenge for most organisations, with a recent study on women in technology highlighting the gender gap amongst executive roles.
The number of women holding these senior positions is extremely low at just 14 per cent according to the Davidson Technology’s DiversIT Report 2016.
As part of the Chief Data & Analytics Officer Sydney event on 6-8 March, a roundtable luncheon will be held, hosting an incredible group of accomplished men and women who are well versed in using data to advance industry, serve communities and derive valuable insights.
This event will be the second in Corinium’s Women & Diversity in Data series, following a successful luncheon sponsored by SAS at the Chief Data & Analytics Officer Melbourne event last Spring. One of the biggest themes that emerged in that discussion was that organisations must drive innovation through diversity. A guest panellist highlighted that diversity is a necessity in order for organisations to solve tomorrow’s business problems.

She will be sharing her experiences leading the BNZ Women in Technology Employee Resource Community and discussing the Diversity and Inclusion program at BNZ.
Katarina will also be discussing the United Nations International Women’s Day theme for 2017; #BeBoldForChange and what taking action for change really means. She’ll be highlighting how new AI and deep learning technology can help eliminate bias in hiring. More first-hand experiences in data governance, advanced analytics & machine learning will be shared throughout the event, which hosts over 60 speakers and 200 attendees.
