NEC has appointed 20-year company veteran Takashi Tada as its new managing director for New Zealand.
Tada, who has been general manager of corporate strategy at NEC Australia since April 2015, will replace Tetsuro Akagi, chief executive of NEC Asia Pacific, who concurrently held the NZ managing director since June this year.
Tada has close to 20 years of experience with NEC’s global business, where he has held several senior roles with management and strategic planning responsibilities in the company’s IT and telecommunications businesses.
He has worked primarily in the Greater China and Asia Pacific region, with three global postings in the Philippines, Singapore, and most recently Australia.

Tetsuro Akagi said: “I am pleased to welcome Mr Tada on board at the helm of NEC’s New Zealand business. Given our new business models being devised and refined there, I am confident that Mr Tada will drive our innovation journey while strengthening our relationships with customers and partners.”
